Hacking and Security Conference
By and for the community
Hackito is a conference inspired by a late 90s hacking magazine with the same name.
We hack therefore we are.
We try to bring the content you don’t see elsewhere.
Hackito was born out of the /tmp/lab hackerspace, and now we have set up its own non-profit association (Hackito Ergo Sum). Hackito was created after our first two Hacker Space Fest conferences (that continued to happen afterward) in order to have a more hacking & security-centric conference.
You can be Hackito too, by joining as volunteer and helping the organization of this event.
Past events:
Community Run
The conference is community-run. That is with you! Join us to help build the best event possible.
(Yes, for the ones who are curious and know about the past: It has hurt us to be that open in the past as some people were not great 😉 but nonetheless, we’re optimistic about building things together, and therefore we keep this open spirit.)
Non-profit
The conference was started out of the /tmp/lab hackerspace in a fully open-source and non-profit spirit. We have now set up a dedicated non-profit association. We still remain connected to our friends are /tmp/lab 🙂
The new org will enable even better transparency (open accounting, open organization)
Fun first!
We believe that the best creation is when people are free and open. That’s why we promote a Do-er model (Doaucracy?) and fun & excellent attitude.
